Hello Everyone! As some of you might know, I am in the process of ending the “Island Wedding Blog” and starting a “Burgess Family Blog” so that as we make the transition from planning a wedding to being a happily married couple our friends, family, and followers can make that same transition. This blog will include the latest updates on our life and our family and we hope you will find it to be an interesting read.
During my first post, I would like to describe the title of the blog and explain the meaning behind it. I chose the title- “Footprints of Life” because it had meaning. Karl and I try and take a walk on the beach everyday (work permitting) and some days we talk from the moment we leave the house until we return and then there are times when we walk that there are long moments of silence…well earlier this week when we were on one of our walks I took notice to the phrases, pictures, etc. that visitors of the beach had wrote in the sand….I thought to myself…”I bet they took a picture of that.” Just as beach photos reading “Summer 2009” or “Rex loves Hilary” become part of our memory and history they also become “Footprints”….so with that said…what better way to look at life but in footprints…not chapters or moments…but in footprints…ones you can trace back and that tell you a story about your life and about the people in it….so welcome to the footprints of our life.
